Happy new year from PIP to the BSLS students, families, staff, and school board!
The next PIP
event is the January 16 - Pizza and Movie Night!! (movie to be announced) There
is no cost to attend and there will be pizza ordered in advance of the movie
for a minimal fee. Pizza is served at
5:30 and the movie begins at 6:15. RSVP is required for this event and pizza must be ordered via the website http://www.payitsquare.com/collect-page/22809 Guests must be registered on our guest list by noon on
January 16th in order to be admitted into the school the night of
the event. Pizza must be ordered by noon
on Wednesday, January 15. Please check

Please join us
for the next PIP meeting on Tuesday, January 21 at 7pm. We will have a
short meeting followed by a presentation of the school’s survey results by Mrs.
McCrea. PIP meetings are open to all BSLS staff, board members, and
parents.
Congratulations to the following Silent Auction Winning Families from the PIP Christmas Craft Sale:
- Deanna & Doug Tkach-Reserved Parking Spot Winners in Back Parking Lot. This spot is theirs to park in anytime they are at the school from November 3, 2013 to March 23, 2014.
- Sharon & Glen Demetrioff-Front row at the Christmas Concert Winners for December 17, 2013.

The final numbers are in. The PIP profit for the Christmas craft sale and coffee house was $2900.41. Thanks again to all who helped with preparation, set up, and the day of.
Thanks to Ms. Meilleur for presenting her project, "A Whole-School Approach to Safety and Belonging: Preventing Violence and Bullying," at the November 21 PIP meeting.
The dinner menu and theme (Western) for the BSLS PIP Spring Supper were discussed at the meeting as well. The planning committee has started contacting companies who have donated auction items previously. We are in need of a few more parents and/or staff who would be willing to email, phone, or fax a few of these companies. If you would like to help, please email Lisa Albensi at albensi6@gmail.com.
