PIP News: Jan. 27
It was wonderful seeing so many
of you at the January 16 PIP Movie Night.
Over 140 parents, children, and staff were in attendance. Special thanks to the planning committee members:
Deanna Tkach (chair), Marcie Hinds, Paul and Jodi Winters, Krista Jensen, Jason
Ingram, Lena Biswanger, Ali Wong, Shauna Young, and Lisa Albensi. The committee would also like to thank the
other adult angels who volunteered on the spot and helped serve the pizza, and
also helped with clean up-much appreciated!
PIP
would like to thank Mrs. McCrea for her presentation on the BSLS Parent Survey
results that was given at the January 21, 2014 PIP meeting. Also presented by Mrs. McCrea are the two
playground plaques below, now located across from the PIP Bulletin Board (by
Mrs. Van Dale’s Office). Attached are
the approved November 21, 2013 PIP meeting minutes.
There will be a Spring Supper Planning Committee meeting on
February 11, at 7pm at Barb Wierckx’s home, 183 Pilgrim Avenue. All are invited to attend. The BSLS Spring Supper is PIP’s major
fundraising night for this school year, complete with a fabulous dinner, live
auction, silent auction, and family photos.
Please join us at the next PIP
meeting on February 27 at 6:30 to hear a presentation by Sean MacDonald and
Dave Windsor from the BSLS School Board.
They will discuss the school’s current and future plans and goals. There will be time for questions, and complimentary
Tassimo coffee will be available for brewing.
Free babysitting will be provided

Happy new year from PIP to the BSLS students, families, staff, and school board!
The next PIP event is the January 16 - Pizza and Movie Night!! (movie to be announced) There is no cost to attend and there will be pizza ordered in advance of the movie for a minimal fee. Pizza is served at 5:30 and the movie begins at 6:15. RSVP is required for this event and pizza must be ordered via the website http://www.payitsquare.com/collect-page/22809 Guests must be registered on our guest list by noon on January 16th in order to be admitted into the school the night of the event. Pizza must be ordered by noon on Wednesday, January 15. Please check out the website for more information.
Please join us for the next PIP meeting on Tuesday, January 21 at 7pm. We will have a short meeting followed by a presentation of the school’s survey results by Mrs. McCrea. PIP meetings are open to all BSLS staff, board members, and parents. There will be free babysitting at the meeting.
