Welcome back and Happy New Year! The students, staff and parents are getting back into the routine of school! The cold temperatures of the last couple of weeks seem to be gone and even on Wednesday, it says it should be +1°!!! Can you believe it?
There are a few different events in January –Movie & Pizza night, PIP meeting, Boston Pizza Lunch, high school info night, and the Aaron Burnett concert! Please come out to as many events as possible.
If you plan to attend the high school information night on January 28 from 6:30-8:00, please RSVP to Leslie at admissions@bsls.ca It is intended for parents who have students in grades 5-8.
Please RSVP to Leslie at admissions@bsls.ca if you are planning to attend the Aaron Burnett concert on January 30 at 9:30 am. The concert should last approximately 1 hour. Please feel free to invite any of your friends with young children to accompany you. There will be tours available for any visitors to the school.
Mad Science will be here doing class presentations later this week. Classes will run from Feb. 4 – March 25 after school. Registration forms will be coming home on Thursday for Mad Science.
There is a school board meeting tonight at the school at 8:00 if you would like to attend.
Boston Pizza Lunch forms are due Thursday for lunch next Wed. No late orders can be accepted. There is no school on Friday.
Fundraising Reminders: Please remember to mention us at the St. Annes M & M’s whenever you make any purchases there (we will receive 10%) and bring in your Tassimo cups. (see below)
New Fundraising Opportunity: TASSIMO is recycling their coffee, tea, espresso, milk and hot chocolate T DISCs, giving this packaging a second life! Bring in your used T DISCs and our school will be awarded one TerraCycle point which can be redeemed for a variety of charitable gifts or for a payment of $0.01. We need to collect at least 600 before submitting…bring them in!!!!
