We are already in
the month of June, the last month of school.
This month will fly by! As this
is the last month, there are many exciting events planned. Please be sure to check out our important
dates and if you have any questions, please feel free to call the office.
June 13 will be the school’s Jump Rope for Heart event.
This will take place over the lunch recess for all students who would
like to participate!
On June 16-18 the grade 7/8’s will be attending Luther Village for their annual camping
trip. Have fun!
June 19 is the PIP BBQ. We hope to see
everyone there!
June 20 will be our Kindergarten Orientation and our Kindergarten Readiness Fair!
The orientation will begin at 9:00 in the chapel area with a short
presentation. Kindergarten Readiness
Fair children can go directly into gymnasium.
Running
Club runs from 3:15 – 4:00 on Tuesday and Thursdays. If there are any parents who would like to
participate, you are more than welcome to join us! See you soon.
There is no running club on June 17.
Our grade 8 Grad is going to be
held on Thursday, June 26 at 1:00 pm.
Please dress lightly as it is held in the gym and can get quite warm.
June 27 is our last day of
school. We will start at 9:00 am with
our Kindergarten Grad. At 10:30 we will do our awards presentations for grades 1-8 and complete our day with Sports day at 1:00 followed by classroom parties.
If there are students (families)
who may be leaving early for vacation, please notify the teachers as soon as
possible. Report cards are handed out on
June 27 at 3:15 pm. If you are not in
school at that time, they will be mailed to your home address. If you would like them mailed to a different
address for the summer, please notify the office.
Thank you so much for
participating in our Read – a – thon and Book Fair Fundraisers! We
raised over $4000!

Vacation Bible School (VBS) - Gangway to Galilee - 2014 - Mark your
calendars for this summer's Vacation Bible School at Beautiful Savior Lutheran
Church. From July 7-11 (9 a.m.-12 noon) you will be able to enjoy crafts,
games, music, snacks, Bible stories, and more! Everyone is invited from

Fundraising Reminders:
Mountain Jewellers, 1125 St. Mary’s Road, is willing to donate 10%
of any purchases or services completed at the store back to BSLS. They offer complete lines of jewellery,
custom jewellery and watches. If you
require any more information, please see Mrs. McCrea or contact Son Nguyen (204-255-6585)
directly.
Please remember to mention us at
the St. Annes M & M’s whenever
you make any purchases there (we will receive 10%) and bring in your Tassimo
disks. Tassimo disks can be turned in to the office.

the morning, please only park to the right of the PIP Reserved spot in the back
or in the front of the school on the street.
(Do not block the crosswalk) The staff
require the parking spots by the building.

PIP News
PIP would like to thank the winning bidders of the two silent auction items at the Evening of the Arts. PIP earned $110 from the two auction items.
Thanks to the BSLS families and staff who have returned their Fundraising & Fun Event Survey. The survey results will be used by PIP, the BSLS school board, and BSLS staff to determine what to plan for future school years. The last day for surveys to be handed into the front office is June 5.
The annual end of the year PIP BBQ is quickly approaching. This event is not a fundraiser. There is a slight charge per person ($3 per person) to cover some of the food, as well as some of the entertainment expenses. The BBQ will be on Thursday, June 19, 2014. The fun starts at 4:30pm and dinner is from 5-6 pm. The BBQ will be held on the BSLS South Playground.
Dinner: Included with your $3 admissio
- Manitoba Pork on a Bun (limit of 1 per person)
and/or hot dogs (vegetarian option available)
- Lemonade, watermelon, chips, freezies and
slushies
